Juvederm is not one product, and that is the single most expensive thing most people do not know before they book. It is a family of hyaluronic acid gels formulated at different thicknesses for different jobs, and the spread between the cheapest and most expensive member is about $500 a syringe at the same practice on the same day.
So “how much is Juvederm” has no answer until you know which one. This guide covers per-syringe cash prices by product at practices that publish their menus, how many syringes each area typically takes, what the free Alle program is actually worth, and where the negotiating room sits. All figures were checked in September 2026.
What Does Juvederm Cost Without Insurance?
The product-level figures below come from four published practice menus spanning Manhattan, Orlando, Pasadena, and Dallas, cross-checked against the American Society of Plastic Surgeons national averages for hyaluronic acid fillers.
| Service | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| Juvederm Ultra XC / Ultra Plus XC, per syringe | $700 | n/a | $799 |
| Juvederm Vollure XC, per syringe | $700 | n/a | $850 |
| Juvederm Volbella XC, per syringe | $700 | n/a | $850 |
| Juvederm Voluma XC, per syringe | $800 | n/a | $1,000 |
| Juvederm Volux XC, per syringe | $800 | n/a | $1,200 |
| Skinvive, per syringe | $475 | n/a | $600 |
| Hyaluronic acid filler treatment, ASPS national average | n/a | $715 | n/a |
| Lip augmentation with fillers, ASPS national average | n/a | $743 | n/a |
| Cheek volume with Voluma, typical 2 syringes | $1,600 | n/a | $2,000 |
| Jawline with Volux, typical 2 syringes | $1,600 | n/a | $2,400 |
| National range cited by a California practice | $600 | n/a | $1,400 |
| Two-filler package price at a practice publishing one | n/a | $1,500 | n/a |
Sources: product-level prices come from Trifecta Med Spa in Manhattan (Ultra and Ultra Plus $700, Volbella and Vollure $850, Voluma $1,000, Volux $1,200, Skinvive $600), Fiala Aesthetics in Orlando (Volbella $800, Voluma $900, Volux $850, SkinVive two syringes for $950, which is $475 each), Eyre Esthetics in Pasadena (Voluma and Volux $800, all other Juvederm fillers $700), and Medspa of Dallas ($799 per Juvederm syringe). The $715 and $743 averages are ASPS figures for hyaluronic acid fillers and lip augmentation. The $600 to $1,400 national range is what Eyre Esthetics publishes as the 2026 U.S. spread. The $1,500 two-filler package is Trifecta’s published DUET price.
Two of those menus disagree in an interesting direction. Trifecta in Manhattan charges $1,200 for Volux and $1,000 for Voluma, while Fiala in Orlando charges $850 for Volux and $900 for Voluma, effectively reversing the rank order of the two products. That is a reminder that practice-level product markup, not a national price sheet, is setting these numbers.
Also note that the ASPS hyaluronic acid average of $715 sits below almost every published Juvederm menu price. Juvederm is a premium line inside the hyaluronic acid category, so the national average across all brands understates what a Juvederm syringe costs specifically.
What Drives the Price
Which product is in the syringe
This is the biggest lever and the one you can actually control at consultation. Allergan’s own site describes Voluma XC as approved for cheeks, chin augmentation, and the temple region, Volux XC for the jawline, Vollure XC for facial wrinkles and folds, Volbella XC for lips, perioral lines, and undereye hollows, and Ultra XC and Ultra Plus XC for wrinkles and folds with Ultra XC also approved for lips. The thicker, higher-lift products cost more. Ask which product the plan calls for and price that one.
How many syringes the area takes
Cheeks and jawlines are typically two-syringe areas, one per side, which is why a Voluma cheek session realistically runs $1,600 to $2,000 rather than the $800 to $1,000 you saw on the menu. Lips are usually one syringe. Get the syringe count before comparing two practices.
Package pricing
Trifecta publishes a DUET at $1,500 for any two fillers, a TRIFECTA at $2,100 for three, and a QUATRO at $2,700 for four. Against its own single-syringe prices, DUET saves $500 and QUATRO saves $1,500. If you are treating multiple areas in one visit anyway, ask whether the practice runs multi-syringe pricing, because it frequently does and rarely volunteers it.
Provider type and market
The four menus above span a New York med spa, a Florida plastic surgery practice, a California esthetics practice, and a Texas med spa, and the whole Ultra-tier range is $700 to $799. That is a remarkably tight band. The wider $600 to $1,400 national range that Eyre Esthetics cites reflects the ends of the market, and most of the movement inside it is product tier rather than zip code.
Whether it is genuine Juvederm
The FDA warns that unapproved versions of Juvederm, including Juvederm Ultra 2, 3, and 4, have been sold in the U.S., and cautions against their use. A price meaningfully below the $700 floor on published menus is a reason to ask where the product was sourced, not a bargain to chase.
Juvederm Voluma Cost
Voluma XC is the product most people mean when they search for cheek filler pricing, and it is the second-most expensive member of the family.
The three published menus that break it out land at $1,000 in Manhattan, $900 in Orlando, and $800 in Pasadena. Because cheek work is normally symmetric, budget two syringes: $1,600 to $2,000 for a full cheek treatment. Voluma XC is also FDA approved for chin augmentation and for the temple region, and both of those add syringes rather than replacing them.
If you are pricing cheeks specifically, our cheek filler cost guide covers the area across brands, our chin filler cost guide covers chin augmentation, and our under-eye filler cost guide covers the tear trough, where Volbella XC is the Juvederm-family product with an undereye indication.
Cash Price vs. Insurance
Cosmetic Juvederm is self-pay in every U.S. market. No plan covers it, nothing counts toward a deductible or an out-of-pocket maximum, and there is no in-network rate hiding behind the cash price.
The practical effect is that this is one of the few corners of American healthcare with a functioning retail market. Fillers made up 30 percent of all minimally invasive treatments in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons 2025 Procedural Statistics Report, second only to neuromodulators, and the volume means plenty of practices publish per-syringe numbers you can read before you call.
That also means the financing you will be offered is consumer credit. Allergan’s own Alle Payment Plans run through Cherry, with no hard credit check advertised. Read the APR and the promotional-period terms, and treat a monthly payment as a loan decision rather than a discount.
How to Pay Less
- Join Alle before your appointment, not after. It is free, it stacks with practice pricing, and it is the most reliable discount in the category. Alle awards 200 points per treatment visit for Juvederm Collection fillers, capped at 8 treatment visits per calendar year, and 100 points redeems for $10. Maxed out, that is 1,600 points or $160 a year in filler savings before any promotion.
- Time the treatment around Juvederm Day and double points. Allergan runs an annual Juvederm Day event with gift cards and double Alle points on Juvederm Collection fillers, plus seasonal double-points offers. If your treatment is elective and not urgent, waiting for a scheduled promotion is free money.
- Ask for the syringe count and the product name, then price that. A $700 practice planning three syringes of Vollure costs more than a $900 practice planning two of Voluma. Run the total through our fair price checker rather than comparing per-syringe stickers.
- Ask about multi-syringe packages. Trifecta’s DUET at $1,500 for two fillers is $500 below its own single-syringe pricing. Most practices treating multiple areas have some version of this, and most will not mention it unless asked.
- Do not buy up a product tier you were not prescribed. Volux XC costs up to $1,200 and Ultra XC costs $700 at the same practice. They do different jobs. Buying the premium product for an area that did not need it is the most common way to overpay on this menu.
- If a charge appears that you never agreed to, treat it like any other medical bill. Request an itemized bill, check the posted cash rate with our price transparency guide, and use our medical bill negotiation guide to get it back to the quoted number.
Juvederm vs. the Biostimulators
Juvederm is a volumizer that works the day it goes in and resorbs on a known clock. The FDA puts hyaluronic acid duration at roughly 6 to 12 months, and Allergan says Juvederm Ultra XC and Volbella XC results can last up to 1 year.
The collagen biostimulators are priced similarly per unit but run on longer clocks. Radiesse is $600 to $900 per syringe with calcium hydroxylapatite effects lasting about 18 months per the FDA, covered in our Radiesse cost guide. Sculptra is $630 to $900 per vial with effects up to 24 months, but it is prescribed as a 2 to 4 vial series across 2 to 3 sessions, which is why our Sculptra cost guide puts a full course at $2,000 to $6,000. For the broader category, our dermal filler cost guide and lip filler cost guide cover the alternatives.
This is a cost guide, not medical guidance. Which product belongs in which area is a decision for a licensed injector. What each syringe should cost, and the fact that you are paying for all of it yourself, is what this page is for.
Bottom Line
Juvederm runs $700 to $1,200 per syringe on published menus, and the number depends almost entirely on which of the six products your plan calls for. Ultra XC and Ultra Plus XC anchor the bottom at $700 to $799, Voluma XC runs $800 to $1,000, and Volux XC tops out at $1,200. Most facial areas take two syringes, so double the menu price before you budget. Join Alle first, ask for the product name and syringe count in writing, ask about the multi-syringe package, and time the visit near a double-points event.
