Sermorelin is a growth-hormone-releasing peptide sold in the United States only as a compounded prescription. There is no brand product to price against, no pharmacy benefit, and no negotiated rate. What there is instead is a set of compounding pharmacies and telehealth clinics that publish their own cash prices, and the gap between the two is where most of your money goes.

This guide prices sermorelin the two ways it is actually sold: by the vial from a compounding pharmacy, and by the month as a bundled telehealth subscription. It also runs the comparison people are really making when they land on this page, which is sermorelin against prescription human growth hormone. Every figure below was verified on September 2, 2026.

The middle column is the midpoint of the posted prices in each row, not a national average. Nothing about this market runs through a claims system, so no national average exists.

The vial math

MultiGen Wellness publishes a full compounding formulary. A 6 mL vial of sermorelin acetate sterile injection solution at 1 mg/mL costs $62.70, which is 6 mg of drug. The 1.5 mg/mL version of the same 6 mL vial is $80.85, or 9 mg.

Clinics publish the daily amounts they prescribe, which lets you do the arithmetic without guessing. Precision Telemed states its patients typically run 200 to 500 mcg a day and ships a 10 mg vial. At that range, a 6 mg vial covers roughly 12 to 30 days and a 10 mg vial roughly 20 to 50 days. So the raw drug cost of a month of sermorelin, bought at a compounding pharmacy’s own posted price, is somewhere between about $30 and $65.

That is the number worth holding in your head when a clinic quotes you $299. You are not paying $299 for the peptide. You are paying roughly $30 to $65 for the peptide and the rest for the prescription, the provider, the supplies, the shipping and the clinic’s margin.

The monthly subscription

The telehealth bundle is what most people actually buy, and the posted prices are tight:

  • Precision Telemed: $149.99 the first month, $179.99 a month after, covering the prescription, a 10 mg vial, physician oversight and shipping. No lock-in.
  • Try Invigor: starting at $220 a month, including the doctor consult, the sermorelin, syringes, alcohol swabs and all supplies.
  • GoalBMI Wellness: from $299 for a 6 to 8 week supply and from $449 for a 10 to 12 week supply, with a separate $99 initial telehealth consult.

Converted to a monthly figure, GoalBMI’s 10 to 12 week tier at $449 works out to roughly $150 to $180 a month, which lands right on top of the others. The headline numbers look different mainly because the supply windows are different.

What Drives the Price

Formulation. Injection is the cheapest form on a per-milligram basis. On MultiGen’s formulary, a 6 mL injection vial is $62.70 while thirty 0.5 mg troches are $90.75 and thirty rapid-dissolve tablets are $107.25. Oral and sublingual forms carry a compounding premium.

Combination products. Sermorelin blended with DHEA runs $90.75 to $181.50 for thirty units depending on the strengths, and a sermorelin with oxytocin troche is $156.75. Adding a second active ingredient roughly doubles the price at the high strengths.

Supply window, not “per month.” This is the biggest source of confusion in sermorelin quotes. Clinics sell 4 week, 6 to 8 week and 10 to 12 week supplies interchangeably and call all of them a price. Divide before you compare.

Whether labs and supplies are inside the price. Try Invigor and Precision Telemed include the consult and supplies. GoalBMI charges $99 for the consult separately. Bloodwork is almost always extra: a self-ordered IGF-1 blood test at Walk-In Lab is $75.00 plus a $6.00 per-order physician fee, and a fuller hormone panel costs more. See our blood work cost guide for the wider lab market.

Shipping and cold chain. Compounded injectable sermorelin needs refrigeration. MultiGen charges $25 flat-rate overnight nationwide. Clinics that bundle shipping have already priced it in.

Cash Price vs. Insurance

There is no insurance side. Geref, the only sermorelin product FDA ever approved, is gone. FDA’s March 4, 2013 Federal Register notice lays out the history: Geref injection at 0.05 mg base per ampule was approved December 28, 1990 under NDA 19-863, and the 0.5 mg and 1.0 mg per vial presentations were approved September 26, 1997 under NDA 20-443, both held by EMD Serono. EMD Serono notified FDA in July and December 2008 that it was discontinuing both, and FDA withdrew the approvals effective June 18, 2009. The 2013 notice exists to establish that the withdrawal was not for reasons of safety or effectiveness.

With no approved product, there is no NDC to bill and no formulary tier. Every sermorelin prescription in the country is compounded and paid for in cash. The upside is that the posted price is the real price, with no allowed amount, no deductible and no surprise balance bill. Our fair price checker is a fast way to compare a quote you have been given against the numbers on this page.

Sermorelin versus prescription HGH

This is the comparison that built the sermorelin market, and it is worth pricing both sides honestly rather than gesturing at it.

Prescription human growth hormone is an FDA-approved drug, and cash prices for it are brutal. SingleCare’s Norditropin FlexPro page, updated September 2, 2026, lists an average retail cash price of $10,272.58 for three 1.5 mL pens at 15 mg/1.5 mL, which is 45 mg of somatropin. With a SingleCare card the same fill drops to $6,731.67. That is $228 per milligram at retail and $150 per milligram with the card.

The cheapest legitimate route is the manufacturer’s own cash program. Sandoz runs an Omnitrope Self Pay Program for eligible uninsured and self-pay patients at $23 per milligram for the Pen 5 and Pen 10 and $19 per milligram for the vial and syringe. Sandoz states that eligible patients save an average of over $5,000 a month against wholesale acquisition cost, which tells you what the unassisted number looks like.

Now put sermorelin next to it. At $62.70 for 6 mg, the compounded peptide is about $10.45 per milligram. Even the most expensive bundled telehealth subscription, at $299 for a 6 to 8 week supply, costs less per month than a single milligram of retail Norditropin.

Those are not interchangeable products and they are not prescribed for the same things, so this is a price comparison and nothing more. But the price comparison is the reason the cash market exists.

How to Pay Less

  1. Ask what a month actually costs. Take every quote, divide by the number of weeks it covers, and multiply by 4.3. A $449 “price” covering 12 weeks is cheaper per month than a $299 price covering 6.

  2. Ask whether your prescriber will write to a compounding pharmacy directly. If you already have a doctor, the drug alone at a published formulary price ($62.70 to $107.25 depending on form) is a fraction of a bundled program. You give up the clinic’s monitoring, so this only makes sense if you have a prescriber relationship already.

  3. Order your own baseline labs. A self-ordered IGF-1 test is $75.00 plus a $6.00 physician fee at Walk-In Lab, usually less than a clinic’s lab fee, and most clinics will accept recent outside results.

  4. Do not pay concierge prices for the prescriber. A free or sliding-scale clinic or a straightforward cash-pay doctor visit at $100 to $300 covers the medical relationship for far less than a longevity membership.

  5. Price-shop the HGH side too if that is what you were prescribed. Manufacturer self-pay programs and discount cards move the number by thousands of dollars a month. Our comparison of GoodRx vs. SingleCare covers how to check both on the same fill before you hand over a card.

  6. Treat an unpaid clinic invoice like any other medical bill. Cash-pay wellness balances still land in collections, and the same leverage applies. See how to negotiate medical bills.

Bottom Line

Budget $150 to $300 a month for a bundled sermorelin program, or about $63 to $107 for the drug alone if you already have a prescriber and a compounding pharmacy. Add $0 to $99 for the consult and about $81 for a baseline IGF-1 test in month one, and nothing for insurance, because none of this is covered.

If you are comparing sermorelin against the wider menu of growth-hormone secretagogues and recovery peptides, our peptide therapy cost guide prices each one and covers which ones FDA’s compounding rules currently allow. And because the same clinics almost always sell both, our guides to TRT cost, testosterone injections and hormone pellet therapy cover the rest of the menu you are likely to be offered on the same intake form.
