Turkey sells dental implants the way it sells hair transplants: as a package with a tooth count, a hotel, and a transfer van attached. That structure is what makes the price look impossible next to a U.S. quote, and it is also what makes the two quotes hard to compare honestly.
The number that matters is not the headline. It is whether the quote covers all three parts of an implant, which brand of fixture goes into your jaw, and whether the grafting your scan is going to reveal is inside the package or outside it. This guide uses Turkish clinics’ own published 2026 price pages, the U.S. national averages, and the parts of the bill nobody puts on a package page.
What Do Dental Implants in Turkey Cost?
Turkish figures below come from four clinics and one U.S.-based facilitator publishing prices as of September 2026. Where a clinic quotes in pounds, the dollar conversion uses the September 4, 2026 reference rate of 1 GBP to 1.353 USD and is marked as such. U.S. comparisons are CareCredit’s national averages from the Synchrony/ASQ360 procedural cost study.
| Item | Turkey, published 2026 prices | U.S. national average |
|---|---|---|
| Complete single implant (fixture, abutment, crown) | $510 to $1,500 | $2,143 post only, crown extra |
| Osstem implant, mid-tier Korean system | £400 to £600 ($541 to $812) | not broken out by brand |
| MegaGen AnyRidge implant | from £450 ($609) | not broken out by brand |
| Nobel Biocare implant with crown | £550 to £900 ($744 to $1,218) | not broken out by brand |
| Straumann implant with crown | £600 to £950 ($812 to $1,285) | not broken out by brand |
| Crown on the implant, priced separately | £160 zirconia to £260 E.max ($216 to $352) | $488 to $3,254 |
| All-on-4, per arch | $3,750 to $8,800 | $15,176 |
| All-on-6, per arch | $4,800 to $12,200 | not published separately |
| 3-on-6, per arch | $4,980 | $12,474 |
| Full mouth, both arches | $8,600 to $17,600 | roughly $30,000 at the All-on-4 average |
| Zygomatic implant, per unit | $1,900 to $2,706 | $3,918 |
| Bone graft | £200 to £500 ($271 to $677) | $558 to $2,779 |
| Sinus lift | £400 to £800 ($541 to $1,082) | $2,022 |
The sources converge on the single-tooth number and spread out on full-arch work. Medical Tourism Corporation’s table, dated July 27, 2026, puts a titanium implant with abutment and crown at $510 to $1,500 and a same-day implant with crown at $510 to $773. Bergedent in Istanbul publishes £450 to £600 for Osstem with a zirconia crown, £550 to £750 for a Nobel Biocare Active with an E.max crown, and £700 to £950 for a Straumann BLX with zirconia. Smile Center Turkey’s public page, stated as accurate on March 9, 2026, lists Osstem from £400 and MegaGen AnyRidge from £450 with crowns priced separately at £160 to £260.
Full-arch is where the range gets wide. Bergedent publishes £4,500 to £6,500 per All-on-4 arch and £6,000 to £9,000 per All-on-6 arch. HayatMed publishes £3,500 to £4,500 and £4,500 to £6,000 for the same two procedures. Dental Centre Turkey publishes a NobelActive All-on-4 package at £3,194 per jaw. Medical Tourism Corporation lists an Istanbul All-on-4 package at $3,750 and an Izmir All-on-6 at $4,771. So the honest band is roughly $3,750 to $8,800 per All-on-4 arch, and the cheap end of that is not the same product as the expensive end.
The U.S. anchor is CareCredit’s $2,143 average for the surgical post alone, $488 to $3,254 for the crown, and $15,176 for an All-on-4 arch. Our U.S. dental implant cost guide, All-on-4 cost guide, and full-mouth dental implants guide break those down by state and prosthesis material.
The Three-Part Quote, and Why Turkish Prices Look Different
An implant is three purchases: the titanium fixture placed in the jaw, the abutment that connects it to the tooth, and the crown you chew with. Turkish price pages split them differently, and that alone explains most of the confusion.
Dental Centre Turkey publishes “1 x Osstem Dental Implant + Abutment” at £529 and “1 x Straumann Dental Implant + Abutment” at £769. Read carefully: no crown. Bergedent’s £450 to £950 range covers the fixture, healing abutment, and final crown together. Smile Center Turkey splits them again, quoting Osstem from £400 and then a zirconia crown from £160 or an E.max crown from £260.
Once you normalize all three lists to the same three components, the mainstream Turkish price for one finished tooth clusters between roughly £560 and £950, or about $760 to $1,285. That is the number to hold in your head, not the £400 headline.
The same unbundling causes the same argument at home, which is why a U.S. office quoting $2,200 and one quoting $5,000 may be describing an identical plan. Run both through our fair price checker line by line before you decide the flight is worth it.
What Drives the Price
Implant brand. This is the largest single lever and Turkish clinics price it openly. At Bergedent, Osstem sits at £450 to £600 and Straumann at £700 to £950 for the same finished tooth. Dental Centre Turkey’s spread is £529 for Osstem, £659 for Nobel Biocare, and £769 for Straumann. The premium is not mostly about year one. It is about whether a U.S. dentist can order a matching component in 2036, which favors systems with real domestic distribution.
The prosthesis on a full arch. All-on-4 and All-on-6 differ by two implants and by what the bridge is made of. Bergedent’s £6,000 to £9,000 All-on-6 band and its £4,500 to £6,500 All-on-4 band overlap almost entirely with material choice.
Your jawbone. HayatMed prices bone grafting at £200 to £500 and a sinus lift at £400 to £800, both listed as separate line items rather than package inclusions, and both adding three to six months to the timeline. Our dental bone graft cost guide covers the U.S. version of that bill.
City and clinic tier. Central Istanbul clinics generally publish higher figures than Antalya, Fethiye, and Izmir. Medical Tourism Corporation names Istanbul as its most requested city and Antalya second, and lists an Izmir All-on-6 package at $4,771 against Istanbul-based quotes running higher. The catch is that regional price lists often exclude the crown, so the apparent discount shrinks when you normalize.
Package scope. Some quotes carry nine nights of hotel and VIP transfers, others carry an airport pickup and nothing else.
Two Trips, Not One
An implant is not a long weekend. HayatMed publishes the timeline plainly: a first visit of five to seven days for scans, extractions, and placement, a healing gap of three to four months while bone fuses to the fixture, then a second visit of three to five days for impressions and the final crown. Graft and sinus-lift cases stretch the gap to four to six months.
Immediate-load full-arch protocols fit temporary teeth on day two so you fly home with a smile, but the permanent bridge still waits. CareCredit describes the same three-to-nine-month arc for the U.S. version.
Budget the second flight from the start. A package that saves $1,500 against a domestic quote does not save $1,500 once a second transatlantic ticket, another week of hotel, and more time off work are counted.
Cash Price vs. Insurance
U.S. dental plans mostly treat implants as elective and exclude them, and CareCredit notes that plans which do contribute often cover only the crown. Annual maximums of $1,000 to $2,000 are exhausted by a single tooth. Almost every implant patient in America is functionally a cash payer at home, which is the entire reason this comparison exists.
Traveling does not change that. Your U.S. plan will not pay a Turkish clinic, and CDC advises medical tourists to check their domestic plan for what, if anything, is covered outside the country and notes that travelers “might need to purchase supplemental medical insurance coverage, including medical evacuation insurance.” Standard travel insurance treats a planned elective procedure as excluded.
The part that turns financial fastest is legal. CDC notes that if complications develop, medical tourists “might not have the same legal recourse as they would if they received their care in the United States,” and that dentists in destination countries “might not be subject to the same licensure oversight as their U.S. counterparts.” A failed implant is not just a clinical problem, it is a bill with nobody to appeal to.
How to Pay Less Without Buying a Problem
Get one itemized domestic quote first. Post, abutment, crown, extraction, graft, imaging, sedation, each on its own line. U.S. fees for identical work vary widely inside one metro, and a multi-implant case is exactly what an office wants to win. The posture in our guide to negotiating medical bills works on pretreatment estimates too.
Normalize every quote to the same three components before comparing. A £400 implant and a £950 implant are frequently the same finished tooth described two ways.
Ask what happens if the scan shows you need a graft. Get the answer in writing, with the price, before you pay a deposit. This is the single most common way a fixed package turns into a variable one.
Buy a system your home dentist can service. The step from a value fixture to Straumann or Nobel Biocare is a few hundred dollars in Turkey and is the cheapest insurance on the menu.
Do the cheap groundwork before you fly. Implants go into healthy mouths, so exams, cleanings, extractions, and gum treatment come first regardless of destination. Free and sliding-scale clinics and dental school clinics can carry that layer, and our guide to seeing a dentist without insurance covers savings plans.
Do not finance the trip on a deferred-interest card. A cosmetic and elective dental balance is ordinary consumer debt with none of the protections medical debt carries, as our guide to medical bills in collections explains.
Verify the clinic before the deposit clears. Under Regulation no. 30123 on International Health Tourism and Tourist Health, published in the Official Gazette on 13 July 2017, every Turkish facility and intermediary serving international patients must hold an International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate, and USHAS, the Ministry of Health agency founded in 2019, runs the Health Türkiye platform listing certified providers. That check is free.
The Bottom Line
Budget $510 to $1,500 for one finished tooth in Turkey, $3,750 to $8,800 per All-on-4 arch, and $8,600 to $17,600 for a full mouth, then add flights, a second trip, and any grafting. Against $2,143 for the post alone and $15,176 per arch in the U.S., the gap is real and openly published as of September 2026.
Spend the savings on two things: the implant brand your dentist at home can actually service, and a written record of the system, reference number, and tooth position before you fly. CDC recommends requesting complete records in English for exactly this reason. If you are also pricing cosmetic work on the same trip, our veneers in Turkey guide covers the crown-versus-veneer trap, and if a shorter flight appeals, dental implants in Mexico runs the same math from Los Algodones and Cancun.
